Modelling and rendering realistic FRUIT in Maya with Arnold and Mentalray.
Learn how to model realistic fruit as shown in the image and render out with both Arnold and Mentalray!
During this course I will show you the step by step process to create an amazingly detailed Fruit composition, we will first model and texture plus apply a bump map to our Fruit and finally model a simple glass bowl and set, we will set up lighting and render out using both Mentalray and Arnold!
The Process
  • Set up the project
  • Model our fruit
  • Create UVs and texture our fruit
  • Create a bump map for extra detail
  • Create our glass bowl
  • Set up out set and light it
  • The Render
Lets render this in Mentalray
  • I will also show you how to access legacy pass options and render with these passes
  • I will now show you how to composite the passes in Photoshop
  • Next we will repeat the process using the Arnold render engine
  • Again I will show you how to output render passes from Arnold
  • And we will composite in Photoshop
